If you’re new to AALL, please know that AALL offers a variety of job placement resources. Job seekers can review open positions, and employers can post opportunities on AALL’s Career Center website (http://careers.aallnet.org/jobs). You’ll also find valuable resources on resume writing, career coaching, and reference checking on the website version of the Career Center.
Once a year, at the Annual Meeting, the Career Center takes physical form. It will be located in room 10C of the Austin Convention Center. This venue allows job seekers and employers to meet and conduct initial interviews during the following hours:
Saturday, July 15, 12:00pm – 5:00pm
Sunday, July 16, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Monday, July 17, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Tuesday, July 18, 9:00am – 11:00am
Job seekers can visit the Career Center during these times, browse job announcements, and submit their CVs for employers to review. Employers then review applications and can schedule brief interviews with candidates during the Annual Meeting. It’s worth noting that in years past, employers have sometimes posted opportunities in hard copy at the Annual Meeting that were not listed on the website, so if you are job hunting you should stop by even if you do not have an interview scheduled or a desired position identified in advance.
