Hi: The ALL-SIS Task Force on Identifying Legal Skills and Knowledge for Practice has released its first detailed report – with great charts – on the results of our survey to attorneys on how they do research and what they think about the research skills of new attorneys. It is available at http://www.aallnet.org/sis/allsis/committees/practicetf/index.asp.
Please take a look. We had 602 attorneys from every kind of practice setting and size tell us how they do research! There will be two opportunities to find out more:
There will be a roundtable to discuss the findings on Monday July 15 from 11:45 to 12:45 in the Sheraton-Ravenna ABC.
There will also be a program on Tuesday July 16 from 10:45 to 11:45 called “Meeting the Needs of Students and Their Future Employers: Discussions on Legal Research Instruction and Student Services Inspired by Practitioner Feedback,” in rooms 611-614.
