The Academic Law Libraries Special Interest Section (ALL-SIS) is pleased to offer a $1000 grant to attend the 2013 AALL Management Institute. Applications for this grant must be submitted by February 1, 2013.
Individuals eligible for the ALL-SIS Grant for the AALL Management Institute are ALL-SIS Members who have not received and used any ALL-SIS grants in the past. Preference is given to newer or aspiring managers who are active participants in the ALL-SIS, AALL and/or AALL Chapters.
To apply for the ALL-SIS Grant for the AALL Management Institute, submit a completed application packet to the Chair of the ALL-SIS Awards Committee, Jane Larrington at email@example.com. A complete application packet includes:
- Completed application form (Word format | PDF format)
- Two letters of recommendation commenting on your potential to contribute to ALL-SIS, AALL and the field of law librarianship, and addressing your financial need for the grant.
- A personal statement in which you briefly describe why you feel you should be awarded a grant; your financial need for the grant; how attending the Management Institute will help you professionally; your level of involvement in library activities and management; and anything else you would like the Awards Committee to know about you.
- A current résumé
The application deadline is February 1, 2013. Applicants will be notified prior to the Management Institute’s February 8, 2013 registration deadline.
